A Huge Recognition

I am still in Denmark sorting out my back and hip problems. I need to be very patient but my therapists are really optimistic. But as they say “your body doesn’t forget”. You can’t cheat your body. It remembers the damage that has been caused on it. I have already come a long way. I am back training as a Triathlete where I do all three legs – not much but I am training :) That is really amazing and you don’t really appreciate how much you love the sport before it is taken away from you. I am gradually building up my strengths and the stability in my body again.

As the plan looks now I will be leaving Denmark around the 20th November to spend my winter on Lanzarote and prepare for 2011 season. I am currently very busy with lectures, sponsor work and making personal training and nutrition programs. But I love it!

Recently I received some great news. I have received an Olympic scholarship from the International Olympic Committee. We are 8 athletes in Denmark all from different sports that have received this scholarship. It is a huge recognition from the International Olympic Committee to be chosen as one of the athletes that they believe has a large chance of qualifying for London 2012 and also performing at a high standard in London. The Olympic scholarship support is a unique opportunity for me so that I can train more targeted and focused during the Olympic qualification.
